Stage 2 – Research

This is where the project really starts. The purpose of this stage is for us to understand your business and how the website can make a difference to it.

We’ll work with you to discover answers to questions like:

  • Who are your main competitors?
  • What works and doesn’t work on their website?
  • What content will visitors expect to find on your website?
  • What would a successful user journey through your website look like?
  • What specific functional requirements need to be included? (e.g. newsletter registration, downloadable brochure)
  • This stage is also vital as it gives valuable insights in to what real world issues the website needs to solve.
  • Depending on budget, more traditional methods of gathering information such as focus groups, interviews and questionnaires can also be used to provide an insight into the minds of potential customers.
